Open Water Clubs and Awards
Joining an open water club is a great starting point for age group and older swimmers to improve.
Not only will you be picking up tips and pointers from other members of your club, you’ll have the benefit of a club coach to set you specific training plans.
The club coach will be able to assess your open water technique and provide advice for improving your swimming.
You can also work towards the gaining Swim England’s three Open Water Awards.
Selection on to the Swim England Talent Pathway
If your ambition is to compete at the Olympic Games or World Championships, you should be aiming for selection on to our Talent Pathway.
The Swim England Talent Pathway involves elite training camps, coaching and competitions for the best young open water swimmers in the country.
