University of Southampton Water Polo Scholarships
Players competing at regional, national or international level are eligible to apply for a University of Southampton Water Polo Scholarship.
The university offers three levels of support through their sports scholarships; gold, silver and talent ID.
Athletes applying for a gold or silver level University of Southampton Water Polo Scholarship should have competed at international level or shown clear potential to compete at major international championships in the future.
These top two levels of scholarship carry a financial bursary, which varies on a case-by-case basis, to support sporting costs, access to strength and conditioning coaching, sports kit and guaranteed first choice of university accommodation in some cases.
The gold level scholarship also includes personal mentoring support and physiotherapy sessions.
Athletes applying for the Talent ID level will have competed at regional level and shown the potential to reach national level in the forthcoming year, and international level in the long term.
Successful applicants will receive kit and access to the Strength and Conditioning facilities.
