This course provides a detailed understanding of spa pool operation by examining contamination and treatment processes through each of the component parts of the spa.

Course content

This is a one-day course providing all the basics of water management and water safety. On completion, you will have the skills to:

• test spa water
• understand the factors that contribute to water quality
• explain to spa users what can affect water quality
• understand the importance of good hygiene and cleanliness in and around spa facilities.

Training format

This will be delivered at a venue with a tutor at the site. The course theory takes place in a seminar room, you will then go to the pool plant room for your practical water testing. You will then complete a work based assignment.

Certification

The National Pool Plant Operators Certificate is digital and can be accessed through your RLSS Tahdah account. This is awarded by IQL UK – the body for The Royal Life Saving Society.
