Where can I watch the Paris 2024 Olympic Games aquatic action?

The long wait for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are finally over with events already underway – but when and where can you watch all of our English athletes competing in swimming, marathon swimming, diving and artistic swimming action?

Well you don’t have to wait long as both the swimming and diving coverage will begin on Saturday 27 July – the morning after the opening ceremony.

For the 30-strong Team GB swimming squad, which includes 20 English athletes, there will be nine consecutive days of medal events with the opening eight days also including morning heat sessions.

The heats are set to take place at 10am UK time, with semi-finals and finals starting at around 7.30pm each evening. This will run until Sunday 4 August where the swimming action concludes with just one final session – beginning at 5:30pm.

Diving meanwhile will take place across the three weeks in Paris.

The first final will be held at 10am on Saturday 27 July – when Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen take to the boards in the Women’s 3m Synchronised Springboard – with the diving events not concluding until Saturday 10 August with the Men’s 10m Platform finale.

For the first week of the Games, there will be a diving final every other day at 10am from 27 July until Friday 2 August before a short break over the weekend.

From Monday 5 to Friday 10 August there will then be events each day, with earlier starts of 9am for the preliminary rounds or semi-finals whilst the finals will move to a later time of 2pm in the UK.

During the final week of the Games, we will also see Team GB’s marathon swimmers and artistic swimmers compete in their events.

First up it’s Leah Crisp in the Women’s 10km marathon swimming race at 6:30am on Thursday 8 August with Toby Robinson in the men’s race alongside Wales’ Hector Pardoe 24 hours later.

The artistic swimming duet of Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe have to wait until the final few days at the Games to get their quest for an Olympic medal underway.

Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August is when they take to the pool for the Duet events, with the Technical routine up first at 6:30pm on the Friday and the Free event at the same time on Saturday where the medals will be decided.
