Marketing and communication

You’ll find lots of information and templates on inclusive marketing and communication through Frontier one of our Partner Hub and swimming teacher resources page.

Safeguarding

Our Level 1 and Level 2 teaching qualifications include modules on safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults.

We also offer comprehensive guidance for clubs on child welfare through our Wavepower publication.

Staff training

Swim England Qualifications works with Institute of Swimming and other accredited training providers to deliver CPD courses for swimming teachers and assistants working with those who have additional needs when swimming.

Activity Alliance (previously the National Federation for Disability Sport) has developed a new online training course focused on ensuring that leisure centre staff provide an accessible and enjoyable experience for customers with additional needs.

The course programme explores inclusive customer service, perceptions of disability, effective communication, and legislation. Visit the Activity Alliance website to find out more and book.

As the national governing body for swimming in England, we take equality and diversity seriously.

We put things in place to make sure it’s rolled out across all of our functions.

That includes our affiliated clubs and their members.

Head to our Equality and Diversity page to learn more and download resources on equality and diversity, disability and LGBT rights in swimming clubs.
