This interactive eLearning will give you an introduction to lesson planning.

Who is the course designed for?

This course is relevant to any Level 2 Swimming Teachers who want to refresh their knowledge on lesson planning. It is free for Institute of Swimming Members as part of their Online Learning Hub.

Course content

This course contains videos and interactive activities which are designed to enhance your learning experience.

You will learn about:

• How to build a lesson plan
• Developing lessons over a period of time
• The benefits of lesson planning
• Aims and objectives and components of a lesson 
• Teaching methods and organisation
• Adaptations and risk assessment
• Participant assessment

This eLearning will take you about three hours to complete. We recommend taking breaks throughout to think about how you can implement what you’ve learnt.

At the end of each module, you will have the opportunity to test your knowledge and understanding. Those who achieve at least 80% will be able to download an electronic certificate at the end.
