Synchro speakers confirmed for ASA Masters Conference 2016
October 26, 2016The ASA has confirmed four synchronised swimming speakers for the ASA Masters Conference 2016.
The Conference is taking place at the ASA Headquarters in Loughborough on Sunday 12 November.
The annual conference is being staged for the third year and will include synchronised swimming for the first time.
The conference brings together Masters swimmers and synchro swimmers in addition to professionals in the aquatics industry.

Synchro speakers
There will be four synchronised swimming speakers across the day.
ASA Masters Synchro Working Group member Liz Fitzsimons will explain the new synchronised swimming structure and how it includes Masters competitions. She will also tell you about a Synchro Masters success story and what we could learn from the Brighton festival.
ASA National Synchro Development Officer Sarah Darragh will explain how the Synchro Masters Working Group have devised a new 4 Year Strategy for Masters Synchro and will welcome your thoughts, ideas and feedback on this
Sports therapist Hannah Secher will discuss safe flexibility for synchro Masters, some demonstrations on how to stretch and when to stretch to compliment training. She will also discuss injury prevention in synchro and cross-training for synchro swimmers.
Sports psychologist Karen Howells will explain how to use sport psychology to improve your performance covering imagery, goal setting, and performance preparation. The focus of this session will be predominantly psychological skills training.
