January 31, 2015About Victoria Vincent
Victoria Vincent showed promise in her first national level competitions, finishing first in her age group at the 2010 and 2011 ASA National Skills Finals, and landing 1m gold and 3m silver in the Group E age group at the 2010 ASA National Age Group Championships.
She made an immediate impact in the Group C age group in 2013, winning the 1m, 3m and Platform clean sweep at the British Elite Junior Championships, then repeating the feat for the ASA England Programmes team at the Trofeo Niccolò Campo in Rome.
Vincent pulled off a surprise as a 13-year old at the 2014 British Championships in Sheffield, winning 10m Platform gold at Ponds Forge to seal a place on the England team for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, where she finished 10th.
She missed seven months of training in 2015 after an emergency eye operation to correct a detached retina, but returned with a final berth on her European Junior Championship debut in Moscow, finishing sixth in the 1m Springboard.
