Coach Membership FAQs

Swim England Coach Membership is for any UK qualified Level 1 or above coach in any discipline i.e. Water Polo, Swimming etc. Coach membership is an enhancement to your Swim England Club membership which you must also hold.

The membership provides insurance cover for up to £20 million public liability and professional indemnity for your coaching activity. You will also be able to access online Learning and Development, discounted coaching conferences and much more.

Anybody that holds a UK Level 1 Coaching qualification or above.

It is not compulsory to purchase a Coach membership too, as they provide a very different set of benefits. It is your choice but we have developed a set of products which will provide you with benefits relevant to your role as Coach. It is compulsory to hold a Swim England Club membership (train, compete or support)

Yes, you will be able to coach at a Swim England affiliated club as long as you also hold at least Swim England club support membership with that club. The coach membership packages are an enhancement of the insurance provided through Swim England Club membership.

The level of insurance cover is the same for both Coach and Coach Plus however you receive extra benefits as a Plus member such as: 3x free Coaching workshops and a coffee cup and notepad.

We will send you a reminder email about a month before your renewal and a 2nd reminder shortly before your renewal date.

If your membership was set up initially by Direct Debit you won’t need to do anything, the membership will automatically renew.

Alternatively you will be able to renew your membership by card or Direct Debit by logging in to your portal here. Once your renewal is processed by our Membership Team you will receive a confirmation email and insurance document.

You will be able to upgrade your membership upon renewal, you will receive an email renewal reminder where you will find details on how to do this.

When our Team have processed your application you will receive an email to set up your login to the portal.

You will be able to do this on the login page of the portal. The portal details will be sent to you by email when our Team process your membership application.

This will be sent to you upon joining, once your membership is processed by our Team. Upon renewal of your membership you will receive a confirmation email with your insurance document attached.

You will be sent a few emails upon joining. You will find the information to access these benefits within those emails. Some are accessed with a code so please keep an eye out for these. You will also be able to access your benefits from within the portal.

Refunds are only permitted within 14 days of taking the membership out or of your renewal date.

Alternatively you can sign up around your IoS Membership renewal date, you will receive details on how to do this within your IoS Membership renewal email.

The IoS Membership is aimed at any UK qualified Level 1 (or above) teacher in any discipline. The Coach Membership is aimed at any UK qualified Level 1 (or above) coach in any discipline.
