About Olivia Federici

She made her international debut as a 16-year old for England at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, teaming up with duet partner Jenna Randall for the first time and missing out on the podium by just 0.5 points.

Federici and Randall built on their international experience with appearances at the World Championships and European Championships Cup in 2007 before qualifying a spot at the Olympic Games in 2008 and becoming the first British synchronised swimmers to compete at Olympic level since 1992.

Having finished 14th in Beijing, Federici and Randall gradually improved their Duet world ranking over the next few years, finishing 10th at the 2009 World Championships then landing silver at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Federici competed in her second Olympic Games at London 2012, finishing ninth with Randall in the Duet then sixth in the Team event.

After a career-best eighth in the Duet Tech and a ninth place in the Duet Free at the 2013 World Championships, Federici took a break from the sport before returning in 2016 as a Duet partnership with London 2012 teammate Katie Clark.

Clark and Federici made rapid improvement as a partnership, ultimately qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games where they finished 17th. The pair Federici’s appearance at her third consecutive Games saw her become the first British synchronised swimmer to achieve the feat.

Federici also made her international debut in the Solo event in 2016, finishing 10th for both Free and Technical routines at the London 2016 European Championships.
