Swimming Coordinator

Speedo Swim Squads in Dubai is seeking a dynamic Swimming Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support high-quality programs, collaborate with schools, and ensure a positive, energetic environment. Certification, experience, and a proactive, creative attitude are required. 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Class Management: Serve as the key point of contact for class management, teacher supervision, and customer service. Ensure quality swim teaching, swimmer progression, and customer growth, retention, and satisfaction.
• Program Leadership: Lead the planning and delivery of swim academy learn-to-swim and training programs, ensuring alignment with our development pathways and schemes of work.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with School PE staff, Venue and Facilities Management, Parents, and Students to deliver a high-quality swimming program based on the Speedo Swim Squads Learn to Swim Pathway, aligned with Long Term Athlete Development and Child Protection Guidelines.
• Curriculum Support: Oversee the planning and delivery of partner school curriculum, squads, and after-school activities.
• Skill Workshops: Lead skill workshops and continuous professional development programs for club and school partners.
• Event Management: Support the planning and delivery of swim events and galas for school and club events.
• Customer Engagement: Provide high-level customer service engagement with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a positive, energetic, and supportive learning environment.
• Program Delivery: Deliver relevant programs in the pool, maintaining a high level of instructional quality.
• Professional Appearance: Maintain a highly presentable, professional, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
• High-Quality Instruction: Lead by example, delivering high-quality swim instruction and coaching across all levels, from baby swim to competition training.
• Team Supervision: Supervise a team of swimming teachers and coaches, including planning and scheduling sessions and managing the venue swimming program.
• Staff Development: Assess staff requirements to support class expansion, distribute schemes of work and timetables, and conduct pre-session briefings.
• Parental Communication: Communicate effectively with parents, ensuring exceptional customer service and handling financial transactions.
• Partnerships: Collaborate with school PE departments to support and deliver curriculum swimming lessons and school squads.
• Facility Coordination: Maintain a good working relationship with the venue facilities team.
• Holiday Camps: Plan, deliver, and administer school holiday swim camps.
• Swimming Meets: Support the organization and administration of Speedo swimming meets.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other duties required by the Swim Director and Management.
• Reporting: Send weekly reports to Management on time.

Qualifications:

• Certified Swim Teacher with a recognized qualification.
• Previous experience in swim teaching, preferably with children and young athletes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to create a fun and energetic learning environment.
• Passionate about swimming and inspiring others.
• Creative mindset with the ability to design innovative lessons.
• Proactive and positive attitude.
• Driver's license required.
